Hours

Set your weekly opening hours, handle holidays, and close early for a single day.

Your hours tell customers when they can order and control when your storefront accepts orders. You set them under Settings → Hours. Get these right before you go live — wrong hours either turn away customers or take orders you cannot fill.

Weekly hours

Set an opening and closing time for each day of the week. For days you are closed, mark the day closed rather than leaving it blank — a blank day is ambiguous, a closed day is clear to both customers and the storefront.

To save time, you can copy one day's hours to others instead of typing the same times over and over.

Your storefront uses these hours to show whether you are open right now and to accept or hold orders accordingly.

Holidays

The holidays section handles the recurring calendar days when your hours differ. Turn it on and, for each holiday, choose how you operate that day:

  • Regular — open your normal hours.
  • Custom — open, but with different times for that day.
  • Closed — closed for the day.

This lets you set your holiday plan once instead of remembering to change your hours on the day.

Close early for one day

When you need to close early tonight — you are slammed, or short-staffed — do not edit your weekly schedule, or you will have to remember to change it back. Instead use the Close early quick action at the top of your admin pages. It sets an earlier closing time for that single day only and leaves your regular weekly hours untouched.

You can also just tell the assistant "close at 8 tonight instead of 10" and confirm. See Merchant assistant.

A note for customers

If you want to explain something about your hours or location — a note about parking, or that you pause online orders during a rush — you can add a short location note that shows on your storefront.

Check it from the customer side

After setting hours, open your storefront and confirm the open/closed status matches reality, especially around your opening and closing times.
