Open & Close
Start each service with an opening review, close the day out cleanly, record driver pay, and look back at past days.
Open & Close in your admin menu is your daily routine in one place: confirm you're ready before service, clear everything after it, and keep a record of each day. Admins, managers and staff can all use it.
The top of the page shows where today stands: Before service, Service open, Close-out due or Scheduled closed.
Opening review
Before service, run through the Opening review. It gathers what you need to know for today:
- Menu and stock carryovers: items still out of stock or unavailable from earlier. Restore them here if they're back.
- Preorders requiring a decision: scheduled orders still waiting for you to accept or reject. You can't sign off the opening review while any are waiting. See Preorders.
- Today's preorder schedule: what's booked and when.
- Today's preorder capacity: change today's maximum preorders, or the maximum per slot, for today only. Give a reason and enter the manager PIN.
- Open reconciliation follow-ups: anything from an earlier day still marked for follow-up.
Warnings don't stop you signing off. Select Complete opening review to record that you've checked.
Close out
At the end of the day, Close Out lists anything unfinished: orders not completed, payment exceptions, and deliveries still on the road. Resolve each one.
- When nothing is left, the page shows Operationally clear. Select Complete close-out.
- If something genuinely can't be resolved tonight, document it. Once every blocker has a note, Close with exceptions signs the day off and carries those items into the next service.
Driver pay
If you run your own drivers, completed in-house deliveries add up under Driver Pay automatically. Settle them daily, weekly, or however your business pays drivers:
- Unpaid earnings shows what each driver is owed. Use Record due or Record paid.
- Payout history lists past payouts. Use Mark paid on any still outstanding.
Marking payouts paid needs the manager PIN.
History
History shows the last 30 business days with their sign-offs. Open a day to see its close-out and a Day summary of net sales, completed orders, average order and refunds. The Order reconciliation audit records every correction made to an order after the fact.
Corrections need a manager
Corrections made after the fact, such as reconciling an order or resolving a follow-up, ask for the manager PIN and are permanently recorded. Set the PIN on the Orders board under kitchen settings → Manager PIN. See Managing orders.
