Going-live checklist

What to check before you take your first real order.

Before you share your storefront and take real orders, run through this checklist. It covers the things that most often trip up a new restaurant on its first day.

Menu is complete and live

  • Every item you sell is added, priced, and set to live.
  • Sizes and option groups are set up for items that need them, and each option's price is correct.
  • Categories are in the order you want customers to see them.
  • Anything you are out of is marked out of stock so customers cannot order it.

Hours are set

  • Your weekly opening hours are entered for each day.
  • Days you are closed are marked closed, not left blank.
  • If you already know about an upcoming holiday or early close, set it now. See Hours.

Payment method is ready

  • You have chosen how you get paid — e-transfer or card payments — and it is turned on. See Payment options.
  • Your tax rate and any minimum order amount are set on the Ordering & Payments settings.

Ordering options match how you operate

  • Pickup and delivery are each turned on or off to match what you actually offer.
  • If you deliver, your delivery area and any delivery fee are set. See Delivery and drivers.

Branding looks right

  • Your logo and colors are set so the storefront looks like your restaurant. See Branding.
  • Your restaurant name, address, and contact details are correct.

Place a test order

The single best check is to order from your own storefront the way a customer would. Add items to the cart, go through checkout, and confirm the order lands on your Orders board and any notifications reach you. See Managing orders.

Once a test order flows through cleanly, you are ready to share your storefront address and start taking real orders.
