Menu timeslots
Show breakfast, lunch, dinner, or selected items only during the days and hours you choose.
Menu timeslots control when selected items appear on your storefront. Use them for a breakfast-only item, a weekday lunch menu, a late-night menu, or any custom service window. Timeslots use the restaurant's local timezone.
Create or edit a timeslot
- In Admin, open Inventory.
- Select Timeslots under Configure.
- Edit an existing window such as Breakfast, or select Add timeslot.
- Enter a customer-friendly name, start time, end time, and the days when it applies.
- Save the timeslot.
Leaving the days empty means every day. A window with no start or end restriction is available all day. Timeslots can also cross midnight, such as 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
Make an item breakfast-only
- In Inventory, open the menu item.
- Find Availability & stock.
- In Timeslot, select Breakfast.
- Save the item.
The item now appears on the public menu only during the Breakfast window. Outside that window it is excluded from menu search and customer-assistant recommendations as well as the visible storefront.
Change several items at once
A timeslot is shared by every item assigned to it. If breakfast should end at 11:30 AM instead of 11:00 AM, edit the Breakfast timeslot once; all assigned items follow the updated schedule.
Return an item to all-day availability
Edit the item and choose All Day in the Timeslot field. Deleting a custom timeslot also returns items assigned to it to unrestricted, all-day availability, so review those items after deleting a window.
Ask the assistants
The merchant assistant can inspect your configured timeslots and verify which window is assigned to an item. The customer assistant can answer public questions such as "When is breakfast available?" It cannot change the schedule; only your restaurant team can configure timeslots in Admin.
